The state of the Sturt Highway has been raised with Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie, Shadow Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Minister.
She was in Mildura yesterday for a series of roundtable discussions focussing on a proposed truck bypass in the region.
Local stakeholders and councils were involved in the conversations, and the experts suggested up to an hour in travel time could be saved between Sydney and Adelaide.

Federal Member for Mallee Anne Webster took her colleague to look at the Sturt Highway first hand, but the local MP says the Highway needs attention, especially as it’s in good condition in South Australia.
