A new Murray River crossing at Monak has been raised at Labor’s Victorian Conference.
Local delegate Tony Alessi raised the motion for the crossing, saying it’ll divert rail and road freight.
He’s also wanting to reclaim land by removing the rail line through Mildura, which has won support of party members.

Dr Alessi has told the Sunraysia Daily that he’s planning to meet with Freight Minister Melissa Horne in coming weeks.
