Lifeline is calling.
Crisis supporters are a unique group of people that have answered the call from Lifeline, to train in a supportive, connected environment & learn real skills that they now use in all areas of their lives.
Their next training cohort begins soon and they want people who are looking for ways in which to improve their own lives, to give their time, skills & wisdom to help others.
Most of their crisis supporters say they gain more out of the role than they give.
Key highlights of the training includes:
· Having confidence in every conversation on any topic
· Learning the specialised skill of Active Listening
· Uncovering ways to support people in every circumstance possible
· Gaining the confidence to use a ‘superpower’, the ability to ask about & discuss suicidal thoughts
· Living the ethos of Unconditional Positive Regard for all
