A safety blitz has been held across the Murray over the weekend with 49 offences recorded.
NSW Maritime held Operation Stay Afloat, holding 350 vessel safety checks.
Of the 49 offences picked up, authority’s say around half of those were lifejacket related.

They say the Murray Inland area rates one of the worst in New South Wales when it comes to lifejacket compliance.
There have been 13 boating related fatalities in NSW in the last 12 months, 10 of which involved lack of a lifejacket.
