The Family Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (FamAC) and the Civil Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (CLSAC) are returning to Dareton and Wentworth from today.
Residents have the chance to get free legal help with:
Family Law Service for Aboriginal Communities
- Seeing your kids
- Problems with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) (Formerly DOCS or FACS)
- Getting your kids back
- Domestic and family violence
- Caring for kids within the family
- Child support
- Getting a divorce
- Sorting out property after separation
- Problems with school attendance
Civil Law Service for Aboriginal Communities
- Money worries (fines, bills and debts)
- Paying for funeral insurance
- Centrelink
- Housing
- Discrimination
- Renting or buying household goods
- Stolen Generations Reparations
- Identification
- Other everyday legal issues.
The clinics are drop-in so clients do not need to make an appointment (but can do so if they would prefer).

Today, Tuesday 2 July 2024, 9:00am – 1:00pm at the Memorial Rooms, Wentworth Visitor Information Centre – 66 Darling St, Wentworth and 2:00pm – 4:30pm at Buronga HealthOne, 3 Pitman Avenue, Buronga.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 3 July 2024, 1:00pm – 4:30pm at Dareton Local Aboriginal Land Council, 12 Merinee Road, Coomealla.
Thursday 4 July 2024, 9:30am – 4:40pm at Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation – 51 Sturt Pl, Dareton.
