Suggestions have been listed for several laneways in Mildura’s CBD.
A report to Mildura Rural City Council says a subdivision on Seventh Street has created two units accessible through an unnamed laneway, and naming the thoroughfare is crucial for addressing an emergency response.
It says given there are other unnamed laneways, there’s a chance to collectively name and honour pioneering women in the Mildura settler community.

The names include Hattie Lane, Betsy Lane, Appleby Lane, Bolard Lane, Martha Lane and Eliza Lane.
