With a dazzling display of powerful speedway, Brady Kurtz, took his second Karym Cleaning and GT Onsite Windscreens “Crump Trophy” at Mildura’s Olympic Park speedway, in front of a large and enthralled crowd on Sunday night.
Kurtz had finished on equal top points with Mildura’s Jaimon Lidsey after the completion of the twenty gruelling heats with both riders scoring 14 points.
Kurtz dropped his only point for the night in heat one, where he came second behind Lidsey and Lidsey dropped his heat point coming second behind current Australian Champion, Rohan Tungate when they met in heat seven.
The event was spectacular right from heat one until the end of the amazing Crump Final where the Tai Woofinden, two years old, six lap record, was broken by winner, Brady Kurtz, who completed the 1800 metres in 85.715 seconds.
Kurtz took out the meet, Lidsey was clearly in second with Luke Becker finishing third and the Englishman, Tom Brennan, finishing on the podium in fourth place.
Rohan Tungate drifted slightly to finish in fifth place with Sam Masters making his way in sixth.
Next meeting at Olympic Park will be the “Mallee Bearings,” round two of the 2025 Australian Solo Title, which will be held on Sunday 5th January.
