The theme of being green will be the focus at an event being held in Mildura.
Mildura Rural City Council is teaming up with Bendigo Health Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit and Greening Mildura to celebrate the role of trees in the community.
The “It’s Not Easy Being Green” event on Thursday 18 April from 1:30pm to 4:00pm at Powerhouse Place will feature guest speakers, including River Cottage Australia and Australia’s Favourite Tree’s Paul West, and TreeNet’s Dr Tim Johnson.
Mr West is an Australian chef and TV presenter, while Dr Johnson began volunteering with TreeNet in 1997, showcasing his passion for bringing trees and nature back to cities and towns.
The event will also coincide with the 10th anniversary celebration of event partner Greening Mildura.
Anniversary celebrations will continue on Friday 19 April, with a garden visit to take place at 538 and 548 Morpung Avenue in Irymple from 10am.
