Mildura Rural City Council is asking: Is your property fire safe and tidy?
As the warmer months approach, so does the Fire Danger Period.
MRCC say property owners are responsible for keeping their property from becoming overgrown or unsightly.
It’s important everyone plays a part in reducing the risk of a fire or hazard, and now is the perfect time to start preparing.
Maintaining overgrown grass, removing rubbish, unused machinery or materials ensures any danger to health or property is minimised.
Mildura Rural City Council officers are now inspecting properties across the region.
Penalty notices can be issued to property owners for unsightly land.
