Work should start later this year on safety improvements at an Irymple intersection near Irymple Secondary College.
Mildura MP Jade Benham has welcomed news the Department of Transport has received 540-thousand dollars for the improvements on the corner of Karadoc Avenue and the Calder Highway.
The works include installing brighter traffic signals, modifications to the traffic island, enhanced signage, refreshed line marking, safer pedestrian crossing sand improved traffic signal phasing.
The works should take around eight weeks to complete, weather permitting.
“This upgrade is a vital step in ensuring the safety of our community, especially for students and parents accessing Irymple Secondary College,” Ms. Benham added.
“I look forward to seeing these improvements come to fruition.”
