Injured wildlife on the increase, but not locally

Wildlife Victoria says it is unclear why a statewide spike in calls for injured animals has not been seen in the North West.

Early warm weather is suspected of being behind a 33% average increase on calls for help compared with this time last year.
But, Wildlife Victoria CEO Lisa Palma says the Mildura and Swan Hill rate has remained steady or declined.
