Bus passengers across the state of Victoria are urged to plan for disruptions and cancellations to bus services tomorrow, Wednesday, 28 May due to possible industrial action.
The Transport Workers’ Union has provided notice of a 24-hour work stoppage for drivers on bus routes run by two operators – Dysons and CDC Victoria.
This stoppage will affect routes across Melbourne, and on CDC-operated routes in Geelong, Wyndham, Ballarat, and here in Mildura.
CDC Victoria will not run any bus services in Geelong, Wyndham and Ballarat, and will operate school services only from its depots in Oakleigh, Tullamarine, Sunshine and Mildura.
Services run by other bus operators will not be affected and will run a normal timetable. Passengers on affected routes, should consider other transport alternatives on Wednesday.
All bus services are expected to run per normal schedule on Thursday, 29 May.
For details of which bus routes will be operating tomorrow, and the latest public transport information and network status, the public should go to https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/ or in the PTV mobile app.
