October 31, 2023 6:57 am in by

Between 8:00pm on Saturday night and 2:00am Sunday morning a non-sanctioned car meet was held in the Bunnings car park in Swan Hill.

Around 25 drivers in their vehicles of all makes and models descended on the car park, all organised over Facebook by a local 16 year old male.

However the driver of the silver Ford in the picture tore up a section of non-slip paint after doing a burn out right on top of it.

The non-slip paint that was damaged is a safety requirement of Bunnings to prevent people potentially slipping on grease from the barbecues.

It’s necessary to allow the volunteer groups to keep cooking & serving sausages as fund raisers.

Swan Hill Police caught up with a 19 year old male from Warracknabeal at around lunch time on Sunday.

He made full admissions to being the driver behind the wheel.

The male’s car was towed and impounded immediately at a cost of $1775 and he will be summonsed to appear at the Swan Hill Magistrates Court at a later date.
