The Sunraysia Football Netball League (SFNL), in partnership with Lifeline Loddon Mallee, say they are proud to deliver the How’s Ya Mate Round this Saturday, 9 August 2025, a chance for the Sunraysia sporting community to get behind mental health and suicide prevention.
With Lifeline on-site across key fixtures, clubs, players, and spectators will have access to free resources and information to spark vital conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
“Mental illness doesn’t stop at the change-room door,” said Lifeline Loddon Mallee CEO, Lisa Renato.
“Knowing how to start a conversation with mate who’s not him or herself, can make all the difference. We’re proud to equip clubs with training and resources that can genuinely save lives.”
“This is about building stronger clubs and stronger communities,” said SFNL Executive Officer, Jason Torney.
“We want every player, coach, and volunteer to know they’re not alone and that their wellbeing matters just as much as their game day performance.”
This Saturday look out for Lifeline’s info stalls across SFNL games offering free materials, helpful conversations, and a visible reminder that mental health matters in Sunraysia.
