The historic Psyche Bend Pumping Station is set to recommence operations following the significant riverine flooding in late 2022.
Members of the public can view the spectacle on Sunday 9th June with the best viewing times between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
The recommissioning is a testament to the tireless and voluntary hard work of members of both the management committee and the Sunraysia Steam Preservation Society, “the Steamies”.
The re-opening day is to be a free event.
Visitors will witness the process of steam generation, the starting and stopping of the original Chaffey engine and pumps and finally, water flowing over the discharge weir.
There will be plenty of stopping and starting of the pumps throughout the day so that a greater number of people can observe this part of the operation.
Catering will also be available on site.
