High levels of Chlorine in Euston water supply

Balranald Shire Council has taken to social media to update Euston residents of issue with their water supply.

Yesterday, due to unforeseen circumstances, Euston potable water has experienced higher than normal Chlorine ratings which has a presence of odour/taste and in some cases a discoloration of drinking water.

Council says this is not harmful to health, but they were working with Public Works and NSW Health to remedy the issue.

In the meantime Council Water Operators flushed the potable water mains and were expecting the potable water delivery in terms of quality to return to normality overnight and through this morning.

They will update the community if needed.

Balranald Shire Council have apologised for any inconvenience.
