Residents across the Mildura Rural City Council region, including those in smaller towns and communities, have an opportunity to play a powerful role in making the community more inclusive, connected and welcoming by joining the region’s Social Inclusion Action Group.
This community-led initiative is coordinated by Mildura Rural City Council, with support from the Victorian Government.
Expressions of interest to join the group opened this week, paving the way for a diverse mix of residents from all walks of life to become involved.
MRCC says Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents are encouraged to become involved.
Expressions of interest close on Sunday 9 November.
Those who submit expressions of interest will be invited to community workshops in Mildura and Ouyen on Friday 21 November and Saturday 22 November.
Each session will run for three hours, with lunch provided.
