Lower Western Rural Fire Service crews will be conducting a Hazard Reduction this Sunday, December 3rd, in the Kelso Crown Land Reserve in Mourquong, 6kms northwest of Buronga.
20 firefighters will complete this important 65 hectare planned burn to reduce grassland fuels adjacent to Buronga Hill Winery and the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens.
Given the size of the burn, smoke will possibly be visible to the nearby communities Boeill Creek, Mourquong, Buronga, Gol Gol and Coomealla, as well as well as Mildura, Cabarita and Merbein.
