Over the winter months, Wentworth Shire Council have been upgrading the ‘Golly Beach’ near the James King Park boat ramp.
The upgrade includes a retaining wall, handrails, stairs and sand.
The project is almost complete, except for some remaining works still occurring on a small section of riverfront, just downstream of the boat ramp.
These works are due to be completed over the coming weeks.
The new beach will form a great recreational area for the Wentworth Shire community for the upcoming summer season and beyond.
Wentworth Shire Council has thanked the community for the shown by boat users while the boat ramp has been closed.
