More than one-point-three million dollars has been announced for road upgrades at a busy intersection in Irymple.
The Federal Government cash will be delivered under the Black Spot Program for the Calder Highway and Belar Avenue.
The works will include widening the road, and installing a painted separator between the through lane and left turning lane.

The intersection pavement will also be rebuilt and a safety barrier put in place to shield power poles.
There has been a reduction in collisions at the intersection since December 2022 when the Department of Transport and Planning reduced the 100kmh speed limit down to 80kmh.
