Tuesday night marked a significant milestone for the Wentworth Shire, with the official launch of the Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra (FOSO).
Mayor Daniel Linklater and guests joined acclaimed artist Bruce Munro to cut the ribbon on the installation, culminating a five-year journey of vision, collaboration, and delivery.
Delivered as a collaborative project between Wentworth Shire Council and Mildura Rural City Council, FOSO brings to life a long-held regional vision first championed through the former Mildura Regional Development Board.
The project has been made possible through the support of the NSW and Victorian State Governments, alongside both Councils.
Opening to the public from next Friday, April 24, FOSO completes the dual-installation partnership.
