A former Ouyen woman had success at the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands.
Army Sergeant Darcy Kay has won gold in the snatch, bronze in the clean and jerk, and silver in the total for Australia while competing in the 64 kilogram women’s competition.
The 30-year-old started weightlifting in 2018, saying the army has been supportive, allowing her to train and compete at the international level.
