Mildura Rural City Council will be one of several councils to speak at a parliamentary inquiry into the October 2022 floods.
The city was inundated last year, with floodwaters remaining high through summer and into early this year.
The public hearings are starting today in Melbourne, with a panel of senior staff from Mildura, Buloke, Pyrenees and Moira councils to speak with the committee.

The inquiry is due to be held for three days.
