Swan Hill Rural City Council, in collaboration with the Australian Federal and Victorian State Governments has announced the Community Flood Recovery and Resilience Grants Program.
Council’s Mayor Cr Stuart King said the funding acknowledges the profound impact of the October 2022 flood event on individuals, families, and community service organisations across the region.
Eligible organisations are encouraged to apply for funding through this program to facilitate initiatives that promote community cohesion, preparedness, and long-term recovery efforts.
Grants are available to all eligible organisations within or who service the municipality.
Applicants can apply for up to $5,000 per application.
The program is open now, and will stay open until 31 January, or until all funds are exhausted.
Applicants will be notified of their outcome within 6 weeks of application submission.
