A local man has been fined over eighteen hundred dollars after he was caught with a burnt pile of waste.
The EPA were called to an Irymple property in November last year, finding the stockpile of burnt waste.
The environmental watchdog says the waste included steel wire, drums, burnt chipboard, glass, and burnt treated timber post.

The man has been ordered to remove the rubbish to a licenced place for disposal.
The EPA has warned that burning waste like that is not only illegal but also hazardous.
