After major protests, the state government has dropped plans to hike the emergency services levy for farmers.
The tax for land owners will stay capped at 2024-25 levels next year.

The Victorian Farmers Federation has welcomed the 12 month pause.
Meanwhile, the Victorian Government has also announced an extra 37.7 million dollars in drought support.
Grants of up to five thousand dollars will be available state wide.
