The family of a competitor in the Hattah Desert Race are asking for the public’s help to recover 2 motorbikes that were stolen over the weekend.
11 year old Ollie has had his 2 x Gas Gas 85cc motorbikes stolen from the back of a van while parked at Olive Avenue in Mildura overnight on Saturday night.
Unknown offender/s smashed the back windows with a rock to gain entry.
The bikes were then driven around Mildura with reported sightings including Walnut Avenue, San Mateo Avenue towards 16th Street at 1.03am, Tenth Street at 3:00am and 5:00am, Cherry Avenue between 5:00 and 6:00am past the Mildura Art Centre, also going down James Cook Drive.
Young Ollie is absolute devastated.
The family had travelled to Mildura for Ollie to participate in the Hattah Desert Race for the first time.
The family has hopes that someone has CCTV footage that could help police, or knows someone that knows something about the whereabouts of these bikes.
A reward has been offered for any information that helps to get these bikes back to their rightful owner.
Please contact Mildura Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://www.crimestoppersvic.com.au/ with any information.
