Locals are being urged to ensure they’re enrolled for the upcoming local council elections.
The Victorian Electoral Commission says eligible residents have until August 7th to check they’re property enrolled to be able to have their say on their local councils.
It comes as information sessions are being held in Mildura later this month and in Swan Hill next month for potential council candidates.

Mildura Rural City Council will have 9 wards with one councillor in each ward.
