It’s a result that the public has known for a while, but the Victorian Electoral Commission has officially declared Jade Benham the winner of the seat of Mildura, nearly two weeks after the state election.
The Nationals candidate was ahead of Independent Ali Cupper in voting, with the declaration made yesterday afternoon.
She’s thanked other candidates and their helpers over the campaign.

Ali Cupper has conceded defeat in the fight to retain the seat of Mildura on Tuesday afternoon via a message on Facebook, congratulating Ms Benham on the win.
