During the early hours of Wednesday morning Police from the Merbein Police Station were patrolling around Langtree Avenue, Mildura, after the Mildura Races, as part of Operation Furlong.
They saw a blue Toyota Hilux driving along Eighth Street at a fast speed.
They turned around to intercept the ute and saw it nearly cause a collision with another vehicle at Deakin Avenue.

They quickly pulled the ute over which was being driven by an 18 year old male on his P Plates.
The driver tested positive for alcohol returning an alleged result of 0.153.
The vehicle was impounded, the driver handed an immediate driving ban and summonsed to court at a later date for the offences.
