Drought resilience meetings this week

Wentworth and Balranald Shire Councils are working together to develop a Regional Drought Resilience Plan and they would value your insights and ideas to help prepare the plan.

An online survey is open and a series of local drop-in sessions and workshops will be held across both Shires through until this Friday.

This morning there is a drop-in session in Wentworth, 10:00am to 2:00pm at Memorial Rooms, Darling Street, Wentworth.

This afternoon in Buronga there is a stakeholder workshop from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Midway Community Centre, 6 Midway Drive, Buronga.

Tomorrow in Pooncarie, a drop-in session will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am at Pooncarie Town Hall, Tarcoola Street, Pooncarie.

Thursday in Euston there will be a drop-in session from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Euston Club, Nixon Street, Euston.

The plan will focus on the role of local government in enhancing drought resilience and your thoughts and ideas are critical.

RSVP is not necessary, simply head along and contribute.
