Across the weekend Riverland Police detected two drivers for drink and drug driving related matters.
About 5.30pm, Friday 19 February, police attempted to stop a vehicle in Obst Street at Berri however the vehicle failed to stop.
Police subsequently spoke with a man at a Berri address who was allegedly driving the vehicle.
The 44-year-old man from Berri was arrested for fail to stop, drive with excess blood alcohol and breaching P-plate conditions.
He will be summonsed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
At 5pm Saturday 17 February, Riverland Police stopped a Holden Calais on Twenty-First Street at Renmark for doing 69 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Checks revealed the 45-year-old male driver was disqualified from driving due to a previous drug driving offence.
Police attempted to conduct a drug test but the man failed to comply.
The man was reported for exceed speed, drive whilst disqualified and failing to comply with drug testing.
The man received a 6-month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear at Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
