Drivers continue to do the wrong thing for Swan Hill to the Riverland

A man has been caught more than three-times the legal limit in Swan Hill.

Police intercepted the driver in the early hours of Friday, with the unlicensed driver allegedly blowing point-one-six-three.

As well as facing charges, the man has also had his car impounded for a month.

Police say a fifth of drivers killed in crashes each year have a blood alcohol level of point-zero-five or above.

Meanwhile, two people are facing charges after being found driving while disqualified in South Australia’s Riverland.

A 27-year-old man was pulled over in Renmark in the early hours of Sunday, with police finding he was disqualified from driving, while a 22-year-old man from Smithfield Plains was also found to be behind the wheel without a licences on Saturday evening.

Both are due to face Berri Court at a later date.

And a woman in South Australia’s Riverland is due to face court down the track after being found driving while suspended.

The 24-year-old from Berri was stopped on Saturday night.

She’s since been reported for driving while suspended and will be summonsed to face Berri Court.

Two men were also stopped by police and are facing charges for allegedly driving while suspended.
