The following drivers were caught by Murray Mallee Police in the Riverland over the weekend.
At 6.25pm Friday, 22 November, Loxton Police reported a 27-year-old man from Loxton for drug riding. It will be alleged that he was riding a motorbike on Coral Street when he was stopped returning a positive result for riding with illicit drugs in his system. He was issued with a three month loss of licence and may be summoned to Berri Magistrates Court pending forensic analysis.
About 4:00pm Saturday 23 November Loxton Police reported a 59-year-old man from Loxton for drink driving. He was stopped driving on East Terrace when he allegedly returned a positive breath test reading of 0.175. He was issued with a 12 month instant loss of licence and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days. He will be summoned to appear in Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
About 7:00pm Saturday 23 November Loxton police reported a 63-year-old man from Loxton for drink driving. He was stopped driving a campervan on Pine Avenue, Loxton for the purpose of a breath test. He allegedly refused to comply with for a breath test. He was issued with a 12 month instant loss of licence. He will be summoned to attend at Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
About 10.40am Sunday 24 November Loxton Police reported a 56-year-old woman from Meadows for drink driving. She was stopped driving a motor vehicle on Gratwick Road, Loxton and breath tested. She allegedly returned a positive result of 0.065. Police conducted checks on her licence revealing her to be currently disqualified from driving. Her vehicle was impounded for 28 days and will be summoned to appear in Berri Magistrates Court a later date.
