Double demerits will be in force across New South Wales for the Labour Day long weekend from Friday 3 October to Monday 6 October 2025.
Offences targeted will include speeding, seatbelt offences, mobile phone use and motorcycle helmet offences.
NSW Police are asking road users to please plan ahead, drive safely, and help keep our community and roads safe.
Get caught speeding, using a mobile phone illegally, riding without a helmet, not wearing or incorrectly wearing a seatbelt or carrying passengers not wearing or incorrectly wearing a seatbelt or restraint during double demerit periods, and you’ll face double the points, not double the fine. You can stop it or cop it.
