Do It for Dolly Day this week

May 7, 2025 7:34 am in by

Residents and schools across Sunraysia are being encouraged to Go Blue to End Bullying on Do It For Dolly Day this Friday, May 9.

The day honours the memory of schoolgirl, Dolly Everett, who tragically took her own life in 2018 after being relentlessly bullied at school and online.

It comes as the latest figures reveal Australian students are among the most bullied in the world with reports that 1 in 6 school-aged children experience bullying every week.

Dolly’s mum and Co-Founder of Dolly’s Dream, Kate Everett, says the day is also an opportunity to raise funds for a 24-hour support line and anti-bullying programs.
