Swan Hill Rural City Council is moving some Australia Day ceremonies and awards next year.
Robinvale’s citizenship ceremony and the shire’s awards at Swan Hill Town Hall will both be held on January 25.
However events in smaller towns will still be held on January 26.

A report to a recent council meeting said some First Nations people were reluctant to get involved in January 26 activities as it’s seen from a different perspective.
A review will be held of next year’s events including community feedback.
