Mildura Rural City Council is inviting the community to join them for a free hands-on course in keeping your digital life secure at their one of their Community Cyber Security Training events.
The events will be held:
Mildura Library – Monday 7 July from 1.30pm
Merbein Library – Monday 7 July from 5.30pm
Tranquil Waters Cullulleraine RSL Building – Tuesday 8 July from 1.30pm
Red Cliffs Library – Tuesday 8 July from 5.30pm
Nangiloc CFA – Thursday 10 July from 1pm
Ouyen Library – Thursday 10 July from 5.30pm
Murrayville Sports Hub – Friday 11 July from 1.30pm
and
Underbool-Linga Memorial Hall – Friday 11 July from 5.30pm
These interactive training sessions will be delivered by Cyber Guys, and council says will help you:
Recognise common cyber threats and its impact
Identify the essential features and goals of cyber security
Understand the importance of making the internet a safe place by implementing basic cyber security practices in line with the ‘Act Now. Stay Secure’ campaign
Apply your learnings to every day digital interactions
These sessions are being provided by funding from the Commonwealth Government’s Cyber Security Awareness Support for Vulnerable Groups Grants Program.
