There has been an increase in offences recorded across Mildura, but a slight drop in Swan Hill.
The latest figures from the Crime Statistics Agency show an eight-point-two per cent rise in Mildura in the 12-months to March.
Car theft, criminal damage and other theft among the crimes recorded.
In Swan Hill the number of offences dropped by point-three of a per cent, with criminal damage down.
There were 535,673 criminal offences recorded in Victoria in the twelve months to March 2024 – an increase of 39,261 offences or 7.9%.
While overall crime has gradually increased since Victoria emerged from the pandemic, offending has still not reached pre-pandemic levels.
