Mildura Rural City Council has released its draft Community Climate Response Plan.
The council says it’s focussing on 30 community actions on themes including health, farming, waste and the natural environment.
The city says there are a series of short, medium and long term goals aimed at mitigating or adapting to climate change.
Actions include pushing for affordable heating and cooling solutions for homes, setting up a repair cafe to avoid having items dumped in waste and encouraging locals to install LED lighting.
