Federal Labor is again being called on to ensure it minimises the impact of planned water buybacks on Murray Darling Basin Communities.
The push was discussed during the recent the Murray River Group of Councils meeting.
The group, which includes Mildura and Swan Hill, also spoke about flood mitigation as councils recover from the 2022 floods.

It says it’s still fighting to receive promised funding to repair roads and other vital works following those floods.
The MRGC has vowed to keep making their case to Ministers and senior bureaucrats in
Canberra and Melbourne whilst the councils get on with the job as best as we can.
