Last week local Chris had his bike, on which he relies to get around town so he look after his mother, stolen from his home.
On Saturday Sunraysia Residential Services, a local organisation that supplies support for people in the community with a disability, was able to supply Chris with one of the Bikes that Mildura Police had donated to them.
Local police donate bikes when they are unable to find an owner.
Chris was very happy with his new bike and will now put his bicycle mechanic skills to work decking it out to replace the one that was stolen.
When Mildura Police supply the bikes to SRS they fix them up, at their cost, and supply them free to their clients who may not be able to afford a mode of transportation that many take for granted.
