Acting Wentworth Shire Council Mayor Cr. Peter Crisp has visited Palinyewah Public School to present certificates to students who completed CPR and AED training during a face-to-face session held on Friday 13 June.
Delivered by Mildura First Aid Services, the training equipped students with essential lifesaving skills, including how to perform CPR on adults and infants, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and respond effectively in emergency situations.
On a chilly winter morning, the visit took place during the school’s Pyjama Day, with students marking the final day of Term 2 dressed warmly in their pyjamas.
These sessions were proudly organised by Wentworth Shire Council and funded through the NSW Government’s Spontaneous Volunteers program.
