On Thursday (2nd November) officers from Mildura Highway Patrol observed a Black Holden Commodore in Irymple exceeding the speed limit.
The female driver was found to have a cancelled and disqualified licence.
The car was impounded.
Less than 24 hours later the same driver was intercepted again in Mildura, this time driving a White Toyota Hilux.
The driver was taken to the Mildura Police Station where they allegedly tested positive to methamphetamines.
This car was also impounded.
The driver was released on bail to attend the Mildura Magistrates Court early next year and will have to pay impound costs of $3210.
After a tragic weekend on Mildura and surrounding roads Mildura Police have asked the community to please be safe and drive to the conditions.
Police vow to continue to be out there trying to make our roads safer for all.
