Can you help the Mildura Show continue into the future?

Planning is well underway for the 2024 Mildura Show which will be held over 2.5 days, October 17^th to 19^th 2024 at the Mildura Recreation Reserve. 

Despite the popularity of the event and the economic benefits of the event, at the Mildura Show Society’s recent AGM, it was decided that the 2024 event would be the last unless significant numbers of volunteers could be found to assist with the mammoth task of bringing the event to life each year. 

The Committee of Management of the event has dwindled to thirteen members from a maximum of thirty allowable under their constitution. 

The event is economically sustainable, but cannot continue without volunteer support. 

Mildura Show Coordinator, Jo Rodda has indicated that she is stepping away from the role at the end of 2024 as the role has become increasingly more difficult without the support of volunteers. 

Jo Rodda said “re-engaging volunteers post COVID is a challenge for every organisation who rely on volunteers.  Volunteers are the life blood of community events and it is simply not possible to continue without greater volunteer support.”
