Anyone wanting to cool off in today’s heat are being urged to ensure they’re staying waterwise.
It comes as a Life Saving Victoria report found 52 fatal drownings in Victoria in the last financial year, including the death of a 54-year-old man in the Murray near Mildura in January.
The organisation says there needs to be a whole of community response to bring down the number of drowning incidents.
