Mildura Rural City Council is encouraging the community get involved in National Tree Day by attending an activity at the Robbins Wetland (Rita Drive off Ontario Avenue close to Sixteenth Street).
The activity is on Sunday 28 July, 10:00am to 11:00am, and is a chance to help regenerate the area, increase biodiversity and beautify the local park by helping to plant 200 new trees.
Council says the Robbins Wetland is an important location as it creates habitat for plants and animals, and if you want to get involved, please wear appropriate clothing including good, sturdy shoes and long pants.
Gloves, tools, buckets, drinking water and refreshments will be supplied, with a morning tea to follow.
