There are calls for the Victorian Government to focus on the regions and not major cities, with news Victoria has recorded a big drop in housing approvals.
Mildura MP Jade Benham says approvals fell by more than 16 per cent in January, with just over two-thousand three hundred new dwellings given the nod.
She says planning schemes for the city rarely work in regional Victoria.

The local member says the Victorian Government’s housing target cannot be achieved, with housing approvals almost grinding to a halt.
