A local council body is calling for town planning students to be included in a program to pay students on work placements.
Regional Cities Victoria, whose members include Mildura Rural City Council, says there’s a state-wide challenge of not having enough planning and engineering staff.
It wants future town planners to be eligible for the three-hundred dollar weekly placement allowance.
