There are calls today for local childhood educators to receive Safe Sleep Training after reports that current safety standards may not be consistently applied by all providers.
National regulations require early childhood services to have safe sleep policies and conduct risk assessments, however experts fear the protocols aren’t always followed.
Red Nose Australia CEO, Amy Cooper, says they want mandatory Safe Sleep Training in all early childcare settings, including those in regional and rural locations.
She says their Safe Sleep Education & Training packages are based on the latest scientific evidence and have been developed by our Safe Sleep Experts to help you keep babies in your care safe.
